RinkWriter's Demonstation Software

Option 1 ( Version 11.08.01)

Option 1:

Prepare to Download:  
  • Right-click on your desktop to create a "New Folder".
  • Right-click on your new folder and rename it as "RinkWriter".
How to Download (Recommended):  
  • Click on the "Download" link below... "Browse" and "Save" the "Demo11.exe" file directly into your newly created "RinkWriter" folder.
How to Download (Upgrade):  
  • If you are installing a mid-season upgrade and wish to keep your existing rosters and teams,  "Save" the  "Demo11.exe" file into your existing "RinkWriter" folder.  
  • Delete the previous version of the "RinkWriter®" software from your folder.
  • You may have more than one folder on your desktop.
Download and save the "Demo11.exe" file  into your new "RinkWriter" folder.
Running the Software:  
  • Open your new desktop "RinkWriter" folder.
  • Double-click on the "Demo11.exe"  icon to open/run the RinkWriter software. 
  • Two fictitious boys' high school teams (Moose River & Wolfe Lake Falls) have been automatically installed for you to practice with. 
  • The first time you run the software, an "app.pathRW02" folder is automatically created inside of your "RinkWriter" folder. 
  • The "app.pathRW02" folder contains all of your data.   
If  RinkWriter® FAILS TO RUN:  
  • If  RinkWriter® FAILS TO RUN on your computer because of a "missing files" error, then choose Option 2.
  • Option 2 will install the software along with all necessary files.
Learning to use RinkWriter®:  
  • For your convenience, RinkWriter® has been set up with two fictitious boys' high school teams (Moose River & Wolfe Lake Falls).
  • Practice using RinkWriter® by creating fictitious scoresheets for the two preinstalled teams (Moose River & Wolfe Lake Falls).  You may add and save your own teams and rosters.
  • It is possible to have more than one "RinkWriter" folder on your desktop. 
  • It may also be possible for you to download available rosters from the Internet. 
  • Visit RinkWriter's® on-line Help to learn more about using RinkWriter®. 
Renaming Files:  

After downloading RinkWriter®, you may rename your "RinkWriter" folder.  You may also rename the Demo11.exe file that is inside of your folder.

Saving your files:

After downloading  RinkWriter®, it is recommended that you save copies of your Demo11.exe file (from Option 1) AND your Demo_Package (from Option 2) to a CD, DVD, hard drive, or flash drive.  Use this as a backup and/or share it with other members of your hockey community.
