- RinkWriter®
is "point & click"
software designed
for speed and to be
user-friendly.
- RinkWriter®
has
an automatic "expired-time" calculator
to ensure that accurate times
are recorded on
each scoresheet.
- RinkWriter®
does not require the Internet.
The scorekeeper
never has to be
concerned about
the Internet
being
"slow" ,
"down"
or
"unavailable"
during a
game.
- RinkWriter®
has been developed
and field-tested
by scorekeepers under
actual game
conditions since
2001.
- "Fairplay
Points" and other comments may
be included with
a few clicks of
the computer
mouse.
- An
optional remote
monitor may be connected to
the rink-side
computer by using a video extender kit
or a scan
converter.
- If
the scorekeeper
has made an error in determining the
number of shots or
saves by
goaltender, he/she
is
notified of the
error.
- If either team has
3 goaltenders for
a game, the scoresheet is
automatically reformatted to
show up to 6 goaltenders.
In all other
cases, the scoresheet
will be
automatically formatted
for 4
goaltenders.
- The scorekeeper
simply selects only the names of the players who are
actually participating in the
current game when entering the "Starters"
and
"Alternates".
- The "Team Shots on Goal"
information/table is automatically calculated and
placed on the
scoresheet when
the goalie stats
are entered.
- Shots taken on an empty net and
goals scored into an empty net
are
are not included in
a goaltender's
totals but are included in
the team's total.
- A
calculator
verifies the "SOG"
and
"Saves"
as they are
entered by the
scorekeeper...and
a message is sent
to the scorekeeper
if there is an
error.
- If a goal or a penalty
has been erroneously entered, it may be
edited by typing the correction directly into the
"Game
Log".
- If there is a change in scoring or if an assist is added, the change may be typed directly into the
"Game
Log".
- When
entering a goal, the P.A. announcer/scorekeeper will
automatically see the total number of goals
that the scoring player has scored during the game.
- If the starting lineups are introduced
in a darkened
arena the "Show Starting Lineups" and "PA Announcements" windows
can be seen in the dark.
- Successful
and unsuccessful penalty shots
are automatically shown on the
hockey scoresheet.
- Game-winning goals
are automatically determined and printed on the
hockey scoresheet.
- RinkWriter®
has a built-in power play
calculator...most power play scenarios
are automatically calculated
and placed on the
scoresheet.
- The calculator will determine the total number of
power play attempts and the total amount of time each team is on the
power play.
However, RinkWriter®
will not calculate every
scenario...there are
millions.
|
-
RinkWriter®
scoresheets
are easy to read
and they are automatically
standardized to
the same format
with every printer and
by every
scorekeeper.
- Most
RinkWriter®
calculations
are automatically
performed for the
scorekeeper.
- RinkWriter's®
scoresheet
is comprehensive
and it is
"fan
friendly".
It is well
organized and does
not include a lot
of extra
uninteresting
"clutter".
- All
game data is
instantly saved as
it is
entered...even if
you turn your
computer off or
have a power
outage.
- Rosters
can be typed into
one computer... and
they be copied and
pasted into other computers.
- Type each player's name only one time during his/her entire career with a
team.
- The names of hundreds of coaches and officials may be entered and saved…
- Your
hockey
scoresheets may be
placed on your own
web
site or they
may be
sent as e-mail
attachments.
- If
desired, you may
print blanks on the
scoresheet for the
coaches, scorekeeper,
and officials to sign.
- The option of
printing comments on the
scoresheet is provided.
- For
high school games, the junior varsity and varsity
rosters may be combined
as a single roster.
The coach simply
"scratches"
the players who are
not participating in the
current game.
- When
the goalie stats
are entered, the "Scoring by Periods"
information/table is automatically calculated and
placed on the
scoresheet .
- "Penalties and Penalty Minutes"
are automatically calculated and
placed on the scoresheet.
-
Entering Quality
Scoring Chances at
the end of each
period automatically sets
all defaults to
the next period.
- "Face-offs
Won" are automatically totaled and placed on the scoresheet
after the data has
been entered at the end of each period.
- Each team's "Overall" and "Conference" records may be entered
at any time during
the game and they
will appear on the scoresheet.
- Each team's "Next
Opponent" and
game setting may be entered
at any time during
the game and the
information will be printed on the scoresheet.
- A
pre-game script or
any predetermined
set of announcements for the
public address announcer
can be entered in the "PA Announcements"
window. This
information is
automatically saved from
game to game.
