  • RinkWriter®'s "Season Stats" hockey software has been designed to compile and print your team and/or individual stats.
  • Team and/or Individual Stats may be compiled and printed for any combination of games that have been entered.  This may even extend over a period of several seasons.
  • Each game is saved like a page in a book and each season is like a chapter.
  • Your team and individual stats may be printed to paper or saved as PDF files.  PDF files may be e-mailed and/or placed on a web site.  With a few clicks of your computer's mouse, you should be able to compile and print a player's career stats...if they have been entered each year.
  • Click on the images below to enlarge them.  Click on the link below an image to learn more about each window.
  • Designed to be user friendly... by a retired coach with 2 decades of experience in compiling team stats.

1. Main Menu: From the "Main Menu", you may chose to work with your roster, schedule, or data.  You will also choose to compile and/or print your stats from the Main Menu.

The heading on the "Main Menu" will include the name of your school or team.  When completing an order form, you will be asked to indicate your team's colors which will be used when creating your Main Menu window.  The high school version may be used  by your boys' and girls' junior varsity and varsity teams.  The collegiate version is designed for men and women and it is automatically set for 20 minute periods.  Click the appropriate buttons to chose the desired team.

2. Team Roster: The "Team Roster" page is opened from the Main Menu.  The "Team Roster" page is where your team rosters are entered each season.  Players can be added to the bottom of the roster at any time during the season, but the order of the names in the roster cannot be changed after you begin entering the data for a specific season.  However, it is possible to "revise" any name in the "spreadsheet" immediately prior to printing, it will not change anything except the specific printout.  Back to Top

3. Schedule: The "Schedule" is opened from the Main Menu.  Enter the list of games being played during the season.  This can be edited during the season in the event of a schedule change.  The games will always be listed in chronological order.  Back to Top

4. Select Single Game: Click on any game listed in your schedule and then click on the "Enter/Edit Data for Selected Game" button at the bottom of the page to open the "Data Entry" form.  The "Data Entry" form is a specialized "spreadsheet" created by RinkWriter®.  It has been created to "match" the Post Game Data Entry form.  Back to Top

5. Enter/Print Data: This "Data Entry" page  is opened from within the "Schedule" window.  Select a game from the schedule of games and the information relative to that game is automatically retrieved and shown on the "Data Entry" page .  This page is is a specialized "spreadsheet" created by RinkWriter®...the column widths and row heights can never be changed.  The user never needs to be concerned about setting margins, tabs, or fonts.... everything is automatically handled by the software.  Printouts will look the same on every printer.  The "Data Entry" page for any game can be called or recalled at any time.  Enter only the raw data. All calculations are automatically made when printing your stats.

Any single game can be printed by selecting the game from the schedule, and then clicking on the "Enter/Edit Data for Selected Game" button at the bottom of the page.  This will retrieve the previously entered data.  At this time you may make any changes to the data and save the changes.  Print the specific game by clicking on the "Print" button.  All calculations are automatically performed when the page is formatted and printed.  Back to Top

6. Select/Compile Multiple Games: The totals for any combination of games during the season can be compiled by selecting the games from the list of games that have been saved.  From this list, check the checkboxes for all games you wish to have include in your totals.  The selected games are automatically retrieved and the calculations are automatically performed when you click on the "Compile Totals" button.  Back to Top

7. Print Multiple Games: The totals compiled for the selected games will be displayed in the "Data Entry" page.  Changes can be made on this page before printing (i.e. eliminating/changing a player's name), but the name changes and data cannot be saved from this page.  To save a change of data, it must be changed and saved within the data for the specific game.  Click on the print button and the data will be calculated, and printed.  Back to Top

8. Compile Individual Stats: Compile and print the data for any individual player, including any number of games during the season or during the player's career.  Check the checkboxes for all games from the list of saved games that you wish to include in the totals.  Data for the selected player is automatically retrieved from the selected games and the calculations are automatically performed. A window will be displayed with a summary of the player's stats.  Click on the print button and the page can be automatically formatted and printed.  Back to Top

9. Print Individual Stats: The page which displays a summary of the data for the selected player can be viewed or it can be printed by clicking on the "Print" button.  The printed page  Individual Stats is automatically formatted and printed.  Back to Top

10. Post Game Data Form: The  Post Game Data Form can be printed for gathering data during or after each game.  It can be filled in by your team statisticians. The data is organized in the same format as the software's "Data Entry" "spreadsheet" page. This makes it easy for transferring data into the computer.  Use this form if your data is not being entered into a computer during a game.  The form is still recommended.

If your statisticians are updating the data into your computer during the game, you should be able to have your up-to-date stats printed immediately after the game.  Back to Top
